As one of the "Boomers" who have lived most of our lives under the threat of nuclear incineration (our "Sword of Damocles"); The A-bomb and H-Bomb, and even a  lovely little non-thermal device called the Neutron bomb that kills  us humans but leaves our buildings, machines, and most inanimate products  intact so our conquerors can still use them after we are  disposed of'-- they promised, "We  will bury you".

Now-a-days our enemies are dung-heads who worship a "god of  murderers", and urge all good followers of their religion to kill infidels; especially Americans and Englishmen" with "weapons of mass destruction" like "dirty bombs, biological (human) insecticides, and low yield homicide bombs because we don't live like they do.

They would rather invest in and wage urban warfare than improve their living conditions and lead productive lives.  They recruit the really  stupid ones amongst their numbers (kids, mainly, and immature adults) by telling these 'soldiers of god' that their families will be compensated for  sacrificing their useless unproductive lives, and that they will be rewarded by going into heavenly paradise on completing their mission -- every time I hear that on the news, I can almost smell the brimstone; how gullible  can these numbskulls be?

On the news we have seen their leaders laughing about how these "soldiers of  god" did not know they were sent to die until the hijacked planes hit the two intended targets --  witless bastards.

How do we ordinary folks combat these terrorist assholes? we   can't; we can only be vigilant, keep an eye out for something out of place in our surroundings to get that feeling that 'there is something wrong  with this picture'.

What we can do is prepare ourselves in the event that they strike us at home again.  On 9/11 it was just dumb luck that they were able to hit  us
and effect significant damage on our fellow citizens and guests from other countries working in the towers and pentagon--I doubt that they will get lucky again in our homeland;  but the fools might try again.

To complicate matters, we are always in danger of natural disasters, depending on where you live.  Hurricanes, monsoons, tornados, electrical storms, fires, floods and the like are in the news almost every day.

Web-Site-Shops' Primal-Scream (if you lived in the 60's, a primal scream was a way to vent anger or frustration) shop offers information (at nominal cost) on how to assemble a Personal Emergency Readiness Kit (PERK) bag that you can keep on hand in case you are caught in an emergency.
